Cedar Restoration
Preserving cedar weatherboards, cladding and shingles through oiling or staining is the premier way to protect your home.
To start with, we will meticulously wash, clean and prepare your cedar leaving it looking like new again. Then we will treat it with stain or oil.
The Staining Process
We thoroughly wash and prepare all surfaces then treat the cedar with two coasts of cedar stain. We work with both clear and tinted stains to transform and modernise your home with a colour of your choice.
Through our maintenance programme, annual cleaning will prolong the life and look. We expect the quality finish will last up to 5 years.
The Oiling Process
The cedar will be thoroughly washed with the appropriate wash system required and then oiled using a water-repellent, non-filming, timber protector which is a deeply penetrating oil that utilises an ultraviolet and stable fungicide.
The clear oil allows for the cedar to silver naturally over time while still repelling water. There is also a range of colours available to help maintain the cedar character without hiding the grain while adding UV protection. The oil we use has been developed and designed in New Zealand for our weather conditions.
To get the best longevity from oiling your home, we recommend a second application between 1-6 months and have an annual clean. For homes with north facing sides, these will need re-oiling after 2 years and all other sides between 3-5 years.

Roof Painting
Your roof will be chem-cleaned thoroughly to remove dirt, grime, moulds and lichen. After the them-clean, we will prep and prime the roof with a 3-4 coat system application.

We will chemically treat your roof with a slow working anti-moss and lichen treatment. The roof will, over a 6-12 month period, weather all iceman, moss, dirt and grim away. Once the cleaning treatment has been completed, we will then prime and repaint to a colour of your choice.
